I have a 2018 MacBook Air with inte; i5 and 8gb ram and 256 gb storage. Is this underpowered for Xcode and coding in swift? Thank you.
Any Mac you can use is what will work!!!
I started out with similar specs, a 2016 MacBook Pro with an i5, 8GB of RAM, and 256 GB hard drive (this was in 2019)
This worked for me for 3 years!! Only a year ago did I get one with an M1 chip
It may struggle a little here and there, but if that’s what you can afford, it will work. Of course always buying a latest and greatest (expensive) computer will be faster, but if that’s not in the budget, that’s okay!
