Cannot create a iOS App Development provisioning profile - Xcode

You can create a provisioning profile in App Store Connect

I just want to run the app on my device connected to the mac.

Do we assume that you have a paid Developer account?

That is the solution, sometimes Xcode struggles and you can manually create the provisioning profile in App Store Connect, and then Xcode can get it together and recognize it and you can click “try again”

no, I had a paid account, but not anymore. this is the view I have.
