Can't find the push notifications in capabilities

Hi everyone,

I can’t seem to be able to add the push notifications in capabilities. Xcode doesn’t seem to find it.

Do I need to sign up for the apple developer program that is 100bucks a year to get access to this feature?

I am having the same issue.

Enabling push notifications in video looks very different in Xcode. Simply put, clicking “+ Capability” then searching for “push” returns no results.

Any help would be very much appreciated as I am unable to continue with the course without it.

You need to create a developer account and add that to Xcode. You don’t necessarily have to have a PAID account although without one there are restrictions in what you can do in terms of how many projects you can create in a 10 day window.

If you are considering pushing further with iOS Development and creating your own App for deployment on the App Store then you are going to need a Paid Developer Account.

Unfortunately that’s the what we all have to deal with.
