Control Click is only allowing IBActions and not IBOutlets

I have an app with 3 view controllers so far. On the third screen I am trying to take a text field and control click and drag this into the enditor to make an IBOutlet. I am only able to create an IBAction. When I do the control click I am getting the following image:

I have checked the class names are the same of the ViewControllers. I am just looking for some thoughts or a direction.
