I suspect the the problem you have is related to setting constraints so you probably should re-watch the video.
I am currently experiencing the same issue. I restarted the program, and even started the project over, with no success. In the video, he did not have any constraints on the buttons. I made sure to not have any constraints as well, and checked all of the button settings to make sure they matched the video, yet it is still aligning my text to the right of the image.
