Hey everyone, my name is Daniel Konnek and this is my take on a capstone project from CWC course of Launch Your First App!
My background is kind of strange, as I studied graphic design, specialising in animation, but then I learned JS and landed a job of ServiceNow dev. I’ve been working as one for almost 4 years now, but my heart tells me, that this is not what I want to do. Coding makes me happy and is what motivates me to move on. With ServiceNow I cannot do that, as this platform is moving towards low-code/no-code approach. I’ve tried learning iOS development 3 times as of now, but I always made excuses and eventually stop. I wanted to end it now and I’ve been learning iOS for good for 4 months.
Ultimately, my goal is to become a founder. Either solopreneur or enterpreneur as co-founder with my dear friend. I don’t know if I would be able to achieve this goal with app making, but this is a skillset I’m really interested in and I know that it won’t hurt to be able to create apps that may eventually increase a value of my product
I’m looking forward to updating this project log as I progress to completing my capstone project!
I guess some of you played The Witcher games. They were created by polish studio CD Project RED. They accomplish a big success. This game is based on books created by polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. In the game you’ll encounter many different beasts and so on.
Did you know most of those beasts come from Slavic mythology? I really like myths and I wanted to know more about mythology that is closest to my nation. I’m from Poland and Slavic mythology is what shaped a ton of polish traditions.
But coming back to the topic. I want to make an app that will present to the world that there is another mythology beyond Greek, Roman or Norse that many knows about. I want it to have bestiary with how those beasts are formed and how to handle them and an introduction of how the world was created. That’s the MVP for me. If you have any other ideas I’d love to know it!

W’ve been working on wireframe and from what I experienced is that it’s not that easy . It was hard to follow my need to start designing final layout. Hard topic tbh… But I tried my best and I failed XD

As above, main language is polish, but this will be updated later and app will support two languages at start.
