My experience of posting on StackOverflow as I have received some pretty snarky replies. Something like, you should know this (idiot (implied)).
I use it all the time to research but rarely do I ask anything.
I have found this community MUCH more understanding and patient with my newb questions!

That’s been my experience anyway.
Google is a wonder, somewhere on the inter webs someone has dealt with the programming issue I am facing!

I find that you get treated pretty shitty there, it’s definitiv not a place to ask questions, unless you ask it perfect. But like Said above if you are researching something then you will Most likely find the answer there.
Would prolly be better to grow this Forum out and make this the new place to search and ask for help.
