đź“© Submission Upload Issue: ZIP File Grayed Out

My .zip archive is grayed out when I try to upload. It’s a valid compressed archive (Kind: Compressed Archive), located on my Desktop, and under the file size limit. I’ve tried renaming it, moving it to different folders, and ensuring it’s a clean ZIP file. Could you please assist?

Although I have never submitted an App to the App Store my understanding is that the archive (zip file) that you submit has to be created from within Xcode and it must be by using the very latest version of Xcode.

Here’s a video on the process from Flo

Thank you for your message, but I think there might be a little misunderstanding. I’m not trying to upload an app to the App Store — I’m just trying to upload my .zip file for the assignment submission in Course 2: iOS Networking.

When I click on “Upload File” in the course assignment section, my .zip file is grayed out and not selectable. I was hoping to get some help on why that might be happening.

Thanks again!

Unfortunately you can’t upload a zip file to this forum.

What you can do though is upload the file to Dropbox or to Google Drive and then create a share link on either of those platforms and post that link.

If you choose to use Google Drive then when you create the Share link, ensure that the “General Access” option is set to “Anyone with the Link” rather than “Restricted”.
