You say that you have “learned all the basics” but what specific courses have you completed so far?
The Chat App contains a module covering the design process using Figma but you don’t necessarily have to do that module if you don’t want to. It’s just there to show the design process that Chris Ching used in developing the templates for each screen. It is referred to during the Chat App build.
