Trying to create this image however, the apple shape tutorial doesn’t really explain how.
I would start with the Apple tutorial, similar to what you were doing
Make points that are similar to what you’re seeing in the bottom left of the shape.
Duplicate it for the different colors and offset them each differently

So far, I’ve managed this after playing with the numbers and trying to think in a more graph-coordinate approach.

This site is also helpful. Understanding Bezier curve helped me.
The problem with that Apple tutorial is they are really targeting the user who already has some experience and just wants to step up their game. It’s not for beginners who are dabbling in Shapes for the first time.
