Hi All…
I have always wanted to develop a mobile app and now I have a dashboard / tool I’ve created in Google Sheets for several clients that an app would be a perfect enhancement to. It seems a bit over-reaching at the moment, but I’m hoping I can get learn enough to get something developed.
Thanks,
Barry
Hey CodeCrew
My name is Aditya, and I am in high school. I am taking AP Computer Science, and I really want to get started into app building. I have an idea, and I am trying to figure out how to start
the app.
Cheers, Barry! We support you in your learning journey! Feel free to use this forum to ask questions/connect with other learners so we can altogether achieve our goals. Welcome!
Awesome, Aditya! You’ve come to the right place then! Your fellow learners will surely be more than willing to help you out.
We also have a couple of playlists on YouTube to get you started on iOS app development that you can watch at your own pace.
I would recommend starting here http://bit.ly/LearnSwift2019 and here http://bit.ly/BeginnersPlaylist
Then use this tool (approadmap.io) to know what you need to learn next. Thanks, and welcome to the family!

Hi,
Thanks for letting me in!
I’m an old coder but left tech-tech for leadership positions too long ago. I probably won’t go back professionally, but would like to try out making an app as a hobby project.
Thanks for the support so far!
Cecilia
That works! Welcome, welcome!
Hello, from sunny England.
I have lots of app ideas and have been struggling to get a team/partner/developers together execute. I accidently discovered Chris’s YT channel and am glad to join others on the same journey.
Here is a suggestion - on the forum, can you open a channel / category topic for more experienced coders who have completed the course and are willing to partner/work with others on developing app ideas, test apps, validate app ideas, create assets, curate/edit app content etc. for apps being developed by Chri’s students?
Hi everyone!
I am Baris from Istanbul. I am working as an airline pilot and looking for a career change. I have no experience or knowledge in coding so I hope Chris will help me on this!
My goal will be learning the basics of being an IOS developer so I can have some idea on where to steer my career.
Have a fantastic day
A little off topic Chase, but what’s the best way to learn music theory? I play piano and know the chords but I’ve been wanting to dive back into it during the times I’m not learning to code
Welcome, Harvey! Thanks for being a part of the CodeCrew fam. You’re now at the right place to connect with and learn from other learners. Have fun!
Welcome! Wow, pilot! You’re the first one that I encountered here in our community. Just go through the YouTube tutorials of Chris at your own pace so you can slowly but surely build your knowledge and skills. And don’t hesitate to ask questions in this forum. Cheering for you!

Hey CodeCrew,
My name is Dusan and I am from Hamburg, Germany. I am a student at Technical University of Hamburg. I have learned programing language C at my Highschool and my University, and I just started learning Swift 3 weeks ago with an Idea of making an App that can help a lot of students understand Statics in Mechanics and that can provide another useful round of interesting practice for exams.
Have a nice day and stay healthy!
