Waving back at ya, Ross! Welcome! Don’t hesitate to share and connect with other learners because we’ll all learn and progress together. Stay safe and have fun learning!
Hello CodeCrew
I am very exited to join this community
The app I am trying to create will have a home screen and then 8 bubbles on the bottom of the page when you click on them it will take you to that subject and from there it gives a brief description and a place almost like the notes app where you can write and it save your notes/ the users notes. I need HELP please.
Welcome, Dominik! Great to have you. As for your concern, kindly open another thread for it as this thread is only for introductions. Cheers!
Hi Code Crew!

Hi, I’m Tom
I moved to New York 16 months ago to bring to life a vision of mine
I’ve tried to learn Python before (got the basics) but stopped there because I encountered “humps” and couldn’t surpass it back then.
This time I intend to finish building my MVP
This community channels seems like exactly what I needed.
Hi! My name is Raquel. I have just started my app development journey. I have always wanted to learn but now have more free time because of the Pandemic. Im interested in making game apps. I love to create and find this a perfect avenue to express myself and maybe make money doing it.
Cheers, Tom! You’ve come to the right place at the right time then. Thanks for allowing us to help you invest in yourself! We’ll be cheering for you! And keep on staying safe there in NYC. Welcome to the family!
Yessss, Avocadomama! We can’t wait to see you get started and grow. It will be a challenging yet really enriching and rewarding journey. Just reach out to our community if you need help in any way. You’ll get there! WELCOME!
Hello CodeCrew,
My name is Tanuj.
My journey as a programmer has spanned now more than 15 years. I started front-end web development as a teenager. I was self taught, until I went to university where I became a computer engineer. Which meant low-level hardware programing
In the past I have built applications for Android, iOS, Symbian and even Windows Phone, but I was always better at programming in C++ and HTML+CSS. (Not to mention hardware programing with Arduino etc.)
I eventually moved into Hybrid app development purely for time/cost saving. Focusing on platforms like ionic that help reduce time to develop. All the while I continued working on WordPress websites.
I used to run an agency where we built websites and apps as part of the service. Unfortunately we hit problems and had to close down. One of the toughest times in my professional life.
After working for another company, I recently decided to quit and focus on my own business. A platform for the auto industry. While the web interface is built using WordPress, in order to grow I need to create the mobile Apps.
Coming to why I joined Code with Chris. I never really put in the time required to learn Objective-C because I had just come off Windows and Symbian coding and was fatigued with learning at the time.
Hybrid app development was an easy cop-out, as it allowed me to make apps but didn’t push me to learn.
Now after almost 5 years of not learning programming, I am happy to get back into it with Swift (and soon SwiftUI). While I discovered Code with Chris a few years ago, maybe I was just not ready.
With my rediscovered love for learning, I am back on the wagon and given myself a goal to build a native iOS app for my website. I hope to complete the MVP by 20th May (1 month from today).
The world we are living in right now is strange, but it is motivating me to learn and build a future of continuous growth.
The pacing of Chris’s classes are really good for a beginner or intermediate programmer. While many of the concepts are not new to me, the syntax and the way Swift handles things is unique (to me at least). Thus I am treating myself like a beginner and learning from scratch, not relying on my old knowledge. So far I have finished module 2 and it has been gratifying.
Thank you guys for your lovely content.

Hi! My name’s Beth. I thought it would be fun and a challenge to learn to make an app as I am not techie at all! I don’t know what I’m going to do with this once I finish yet but I am enjoying it. As others have said, Chris, you explain everything so clearly and I get really excited when I see my project do what it is supposed to…thank you
Hello everyone and thank’s Chris.
I’m Antoine, a DataScientist who want to learn app development just for fun
Happy to join you !
Hey what’s up everyone? My name is Marcus and I’ve been learning iOS development for about a year on and off…Well I’m all in and strictly sticking with iOS development.

Welcome, Kristof! We’re all here supporting each other. All the best and update us with your learning milestones!
We’re excited for your progress, Beth! Yes, we all start from somewhere. Take comfort from the fact that there’s so many people out there who had no programming background but eventually became app developers. You can do this! WELCOME!
Yay, that’s nice to know that learning app development can be truly fun! We’re just here if you need help in any way. Cheers!
You’ve come to the right place then, Marcus! Enjoy learning and connecting with the other learners here. Cheering for you!
