Hello everybody, I’m Waldemar Osmala I’m a designer from Brazil now living in California, I had some experience with app development in the past but I’ve never learned how to actually do it, only the ux/ui.
I’ve decided to learn iOS dev so I can create my portfolio with fresh projects and apply for some Big Tech around here.
My goal is to develop at least three apps this year and start 2025 at that fruit company! Wish me luck!
Good Day all/ My name is Dave and i have been thinking about getting into app development for for some time. I currently work in software installation for a hospitality based POS company. Excited to be here and love Chris’s teaching style .
War Game - here i come!
Have fun and remember that above all there is no such thing as a dumb question. We all (most of us) started this journey knowing next to nothing about coding.
I’m Richard from the UK (North London). I work at a school and we have nearly 300 iPads. I’d like to create an app that will be useful for the children in some way. I’ll start it off as a custom app and then if it works well I’ll release it further down the line.
I’ve recently been creating a few apps in Microsoft Power apps which people have really appreciated so I thought I’d have a go at the real deal. I know it’s going to be tricky but nothing ventured nothing gained.
I’ve just completed the 4 new modules and I can’t wait for the exercises to be released. Chris’ teaching style is great - I almost learn more when he makes mistakes then figures out what went wrong!

Hi there, My name is Charles, and I have a computer networking degree that I got in 2004, while in school I took a class on Visual Basics, and enjoyed it, so sine we are an apple family, I figured to try coding to make fun apps for us to use. Thanks
Hello everyone, I’m a UI/UX designer of 3 years and currently mentor in the design field at the UX Design Institute (Ireland) and from South Africa. I want to be able to create the apps I design. My goal is to gain new skills, solve a few problems to causes that I’m passionate about or to make peoples lives a bit easier… AND maybe as a byproduct to make a passive income. I’m also hoping to collaborate with other devs that might need some help in the design department as I believe in delegating and staying in your zone of genius so maybe there are some here that are technical but lacking in the artistic department that would need some free help!
Hi everyone! I’m Ali, and in the Northern Virginia area of the USA. In my 40’s. I was laid off from my job as a town car driver in DC a few years ago and have been doing Uber full time to survive and figure out what I wanted to do next.
Never thought I could do coding due to my limiting beliefs(no college degree, not a math person, etc.) But i’ve always had ideas for cool apps that I’d like to see in the world and thought about finding a co-founder, hiring a dev agency, played around with no-code tools but eventually realized I need to just lock in and learn it myself. My goal is to become an indie app developer.
Discovered a few youtube channels and Chris’s channel really helped me to realize it’s not as mystical as it seemed lol. Other than that, I also make documentaries on youtube(paused for now) in the hopes of cultivating an audience to eventually introduce my apps to.
Beyond excited for the future and I wish you all much success!
My name is Paul. I have not really explored programming since learning FORTRAN in college. Yes, I am that old, lol. I always enjoyed it as a hobby but not for a job. I have been a Mac owner since high school back in the 80’s. I decided I wanted to learn modern programming in my 50’s and found Chris’s page. Bought a year subscription because his War Game app was very straight forward and seems possible for an old dog to learn new tricks. Just finished the Essentials course and submitted my project. What’s the next course I need to take? He mentioned networking and pulling data from the net, but do not see anything like that listed on the Course menu. Thanks, and glad to be apart of learning SwiftUI.
